In response to your personal attack and your attempt to cancel our annual animal rights conference, I wish to express my deep regrets.

I regret that you will not participate in this annual effort to share your information, training, and inspiration with those who are fighting for the rights of animals.

I regret that you have chosen to threaten fellow activists with adverse consequences if they participate in our event.

I regret that you have chosen to attack me personally, even though your charges have been found to be groundless.

I regret that you have chosen to attack me personally, even though I have not chaired the conference for the past three years.

I regret that your name will be forever associated with the first ever attempt, even in our fractious movement, by one party to cancel the event of another.

I regret that you have chosen to place your personal ambitions ahead of the welfare of the most oppressed sentient beings on earth - the animals.
